GINGERLAND SCRAP LAY OUT

This is my first time posting a Lay Out (LOL). This is one of the four creations I need for my entry to a contest. Cross your fingers for me. This is made from heavy chipvoard (21 x12) that is foldable. It is covered with brown gingham fabric. Actually I have used different types of fabric to create the frames, the flourishes, the house roof, the gingerbread men...... ufff!! a lot of details that I am still working on it.

This is the top view with the pop up house and the slide card.

Both sides of the Lay Out . The house is made with Cricut Design Studio. ( I had a lot of fun creating it). Needed to cut it more than 5 times to get the correct dimensions. Windows and door have acrylic on the inside. The roof is made from stiffed felt and edge inked.

Folding the house. The house pops up out when the card is opened. It is stucked to the left part from the lay out
Different views of the pop up house. I was inspired on the sizzix house pop up die ( actually I have it but I wanted a bigger house with different style of windows and door)

This is the right part with the slide card closed. The pics are revealed when pulling down the tab.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and my best for this New Year. Hope to post something else for this Christmas. I will try and do my best. I have some pending projects and hopefully I would finish them before year 2010. (hehe)
THKS for looking!!!

COCO MERRY CHRISTMAS CARD

Adding some items for this Season. Here is a card created with my own files in SCAL. Is not original to have a Christmas Crocodile. Love it!!!

The card is covered with green gingham fabric and edge inked. The crocodile is cut in parts and sticked with dimensionals. Everything has been cut in SCAL (all the elements were welded to create the card base)

Eyes made with black beads and the scarf is made with white thin plush and red thread (for the fringe)

Left side view with the layers and the dimensionals (I have used two thickness, depending the area to be dimensioned).

And the right view with the letters. I have used a LD font called Dabble. Cut one by one , edge inked and embellished with snow writer (do not forget to heat t it to get the puff aspect)

LOL. TFL.

WINTER TIME

Creating something for winter time. I would like to have more time to do more cards. I have just 2 hours per day for this hobby. I have two babies to take care of and time is not enough (HEHE) but I hope I can create some more stuff for this lovely upcoming season. Actually this card is inspired on the BBTB last week challenge. I did not find the penguin (OUPS!!!) in the JOTS cart (and actually I do not have this cart). LOL. So I decided to use the penguin from the CC and create my cart in CDS.

The card base is made with the winter word from SYI (shadow) and welded with the penguins from CC (shadow).
Here is the card closed. The Winter letters are covered with snow writer (white layer). The snowflakes are cuttlebugged and stickled. The penguin buddies are made of black velvet paper.

This is the front. Just one buddy welded on it.

This is the inside view with 3 buddies welded and a hat on the W letter.

This is the card closed and with a side view. The hats are made from thin plus fabric and white pom poms. You can see all the layers with lots of dimensionals. LOL.
Working on some more new creations. Have a beautiful weekend!!!! And please keep in touch, I am preparing a big blog candy. THKS for looking............

BBTB NUMBERS CARD

For this BBTB Numbers theme card I thought about something to create related to Halloween, Numbers and...................... counting......YES! (my lovely husband said to me!!!!) Count Von Count (El Conde Contar! in spanish)

ONE: Made the card with the Count (blackout) welded with the numbers and a rectangle.
TWO: Cut the pieces for the count, numbers and the letter inside (Halloween Countdown!) The
suit was cut in black velvet paper

THREE: Used a lot of black dimensionals to make the layers (from 2 to 4 layers depending the area)
FOUR: Upper layers were inked and chalked

FIVE: Here you can see the layers with the card opened

SIX: The inside of the card Halloween Countdown! The letters were cut in SCAL, edge inked and sticked with black dimensionals.

SEVEN: The bats were UTEE embossed and the eyes were made with white pom poms and black beads
EIGHT: The bats were attached to the base of the count with purple wire
NINE: The count´s beard is made from black thin plush. Love to add different materials

TENNNNNNNNNNNNNN: Hope you like it and comments are welcomed!!!!!

PSYCHO PUMPKIN HALLOWEEN CARD

Uff!! Finally I am back. After a lot of work to do at home and with my children. I am here again.
Hope you like this Pumpkin Halloween Card. All made in SCAL. I have used a doodlebat from LD "Lil Pumpkin"and welded to the Happy Halloween letters.

The Happy Halloween letters were edge inked and heat embossed with clear UTEE. I really love the effect it creates. I welded everything in the blackout/shadow mode and made the layers in the normal mode. For the ones that use SCAL, sometimes when using doddlebats or jpgs it becomes difficult because you need to clean the images with AI or Inkscape ( or othe design software) before cutting in SCAL to get clear cuts and you need to create your own layers.

The pumpkins were edge inked with Ranger walnut stain distress ink. It really works so great to create this effect. I love it!!!
The eyes were chalked in blue and I have used black halves of plastic pearl beads. I made a lot of layers with black dimensionals

I was thinking to put some teeth on the left pupkin. I will think about it :o)
On the inside I will wait ´til October the 31st and place a pic from my children. They will be using pumpkin costumes for their School Halloween Party. They look so funny on those costumes. LOL.
Thks for looking!!!!!!!! Your comments are welcomed!! :o)

I was inspired from a beautiful card I saw at the CHA Summer Show in Orlando, but it was made with a Die Cut from Sizzix (the new Bigz XL pop up dies). Therefore I decided to create my own pop up template. I used the LT, AE, WC Carts in CDS and made some attempts to get the exact measures.
